Hey Doris! I'm An Ingrid!!!

::sigh:: Isn't she insanely beautiful? I ADORE Ingrid Bergman and now I find out that *I* am an Ingrid!

My friend Doris, er, Carolina took this quiz and found out she was a Doris Day. Honestly, I figured I would be too. Imagine my utter delight when I discovered my inner Ingrid. Imagine my utter disbelief as I continued reading the results and saw myself in each and every statement. See for yourself...

You are an Ingrid -- "I am unique"

Ingrids have sensitive feelings and are warm and perceptive.

How to Get Along with Me

* Give me plenty of compliments. They mean a lot to me.
* Be a supportive friend or partner. Help me to learn to love and value myself.
* Respect me for my special gifts of intuition and vision.
* Though I don't always want to be cheered up when I'm feeling melancholy, I sometimes like to have someone lighten me up a little.
* Don't tell me I'm too sensitive or that I'm overreacting!

What I Like About Being an Ingrid

* my ability to find meaning in life and to experience feeling at a deep level
* my ability to establish warm connections with people
* admiring what is noble, truthful, and beautiful in life
* my creativity, intuition, and sense of humor
* being unique and being seen as unique by others
* having aesthetic sensibilities
* being able to easily pick up the feelings of people around me

What's Hard About Being an Ingrid

* experiencing dark moods of emptiness and despair
* feelings of self-hatred and shame; believing I don't deserve to be loved
* feeling guilty when I disappoint people
* feeling hurt or attacked when someone misunderstands me
* expecting too much from myself and life
* fearing being abandoned
* obsessing over resentments
* longing for what I don't have

Ingrids as Children Often

* have active imaginations: play creatively alone or organize playmates in original games
* are very sensitive
* feel that they don't fit in
* believe they are missing something that other people have
* attach themselves to idealized teachers, heroes, artists, etc.
* become antiauthoritarian or rebellious when criticized or not understood
* feel lonely or abandoned (perhaps as a result of a death or their parents' divorce)

Ingrids as Parents

* help their children become who they really are
* support their children's creativity and originality
* are good at helping their children get in touch with their feelings
* are sometimes overly critical or overly protective
* are usually very good with children if not too self-absorbed

Dang...I'm an INGRID!!!! I freakin' ROCK! ")

If you'd like to discover your own inner female icon the quiz can be found here.

Later y'all...I need to go watch Inn of the Sixth Happiness again.

Yes, you do freakin' rock! LOL!

I liked Ingrid Bergman, she did have a true, feminine beauty, didn't she? We were shown The Inn of the Sixth Happiness at school, and I loved it.

Hey Ingrid! You are thoroughly beautiful! Gawd, if I weren't a Doris, I would love to be an Ingrid *sigh* Isn't it eerie that the description fits you so well? I was amazed that after answering three questions, my laptop knew me better than my entire family.
Big smile my BBB, have a luvly weekend and give my love to your hubs and daughters ('Ingrids help their children become who they really are', isn't that lovely?).
Shall I post Biggles to you? He really is the funniest dog on earth ;-) But where will I stick the stamps?

Jay, having two Chinese daughters myself? I can't help but be drawn to The Inn of the Sixth Happiness...Gladys Aylward saving all of those beautiful children! Who knows...maybe some are related to my girls...

Carolina, yes, I particularly liked the statement about helping my children become who they are. And my dear BBB...you already know where to place those stamps on Biggles. Think "Tigger's Pom Pom". : D
