At dinner one night after preschool, he told us all how his friend Parker had been "sucked into the back of his TV!" My dad decided it was necessary to explain that this was not something that could actually happen, but Ben insisted. "No, Dad, I know." "How do you know?" "Parker told me, Dad." So my dad explained that Parker probably thought he'd been sucked into the back of his TV, but that it didn't really happen. After several minutes of my brother insisting that he knew it had happened, my dad finally put his foot down:

"Ben, who's older, you or me?"
"You."
"Who do you think has seen more, you or me?"
"You. But Dad."
"What?"
Deadpan delivery: "You've never seen Parker get sucked into the back of the TV."

We all nearly spit out our food we started laughing so hard, but did our best not to show him that we were laughing. My dad tried to keep a straight face, but his laughter came out in his voice.

Hope sounds like she has that same "I know" confidence ;)pictureeachdayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10233935738965154252noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11781126.post-57088862943950537102009-04-01T20:52:00.000-04:002009-04-01T20:52:00.000-04:00Hilarious.
